Bending Harmonics
It is possible to alter the pitch of a natural harmonic either by adding slight finger pressure and glissing away from the node point (in which case the pitch inflection can either be upwards or downwards) or by pulling the string with the finger (which only allows for an upwards inflection).
Dynamic Range: pp-ff Difficulty: 2 Special Notes: Pulling the string has a greater range of pitch than depressing the string which only allows for a semitone. Only possible in both cases after the original harmonic has been activated. |
