The screw of the bow is used to strike the string in the same manner as col legno battuto. Notes The metal screw of a French bow will produce a slightly more metallic timbre than the wooden equivalent of a German bow. Extensive use should be avoided. Dynamic Range: pp-ff Difficulty: 2-4 |
