The whole instrument body can be used to produce a variety of percussive sounds. See Percussive-Hands for a more detailed description of percussive sounds.
Squeaks can be produced by rubbing the palm or fingers across the instrument body. The body can also be bowed. Parts used: Front, Back, Ribs, Neck, Scroll. Techniques Available: Percussive, Arco Creaking, Dynamic Range: pp-ff Difficulty: 2-3 Special Notes: Extreme force not recommended. |
