Slap Pizzicato

Technical Practice
Slap Pizz is essentially a Bartok Pizzicato articulated by (usually) two fingers simultaneously followed by a percussive slap with the palm across all four strings.

Notes
Ubiquitous in Rockabilly, Country and related genres, specialists in this technique can perform a staggering range of rhythmic articulations.
The slap is usually performed on the off beat to give rhythmic emphasis.

Dynamic Range: pp-ff
Difficulty: 1-5
Special Notes: This is a highly specialised technique, see links section for its potential.
