Pizzicato Nail Scrape

In this technique, the nails of the right hand are used but rather than as a pizzicato, the nail scrapes the side of the string very quickly then releases which produces the scrape followed by the pitch.

This technique is even more effective when produced with a plectrum or similar objects.

Dynamic Range: pp-p
Difficulty: 3
Special Notes:  If the nail continues to scrape the string and not release it then a variety of pitch in the scrape can be produced over the length of the string.

Arrows indicate the direction of the scrape (towards bridge or nut).
